Advent Message Series

December 1.  SUBVERSIVE HOPE

In this Advent season, we’re preparing our hearts and focusing our minds on celebrating Jesus’ birth. This week, we’re learning about the word “hope” and what it means for the Christmas season. We live between two Advents — Jesus coming to Earth as a baby, and Jesus one day returning as King. We will discover the hope of the kingdom, the hope of the “already but not yet,” the hope we bear, and the hope of Christ. The best part is that this hope is not wishful thinking — it’s hope in a God who fulfills all his promises.
December 8.  FINDING HOPE AGAIN

Have you ever felt pain and brokenness to the point that hope seemed far beyond reach? The Bible is full of men and women who experienced deep grief and soul-crushing despair. Even Jesus felt devastating sorrow. The good news is that God is in control of all the details. In this message we will share an encouraging message on finding hope again, no matter how dark life seems. We learn how to lean on the Word as our survival tool, and why the only one who will bring us hope is God himself. Discover hope within reach!
December 15. HOPE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE LOST LOVED ONES

The holiday season can be the “best” of times and the “worst” of times. The losses in our life can seem heavier in this time. So where do we go to find hope in the midst of our losses? We will explore in this message the sources of comfort and the promises of God for those who are afflicted with grief.
December 22. SURPRISED BY HOPE

Christmas is supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year. Yet it’s a well-documented fact that people struggle more with discouragement and depression during the holidays than at any other time of the year. In this message, we teach four qualities of the Savior that bring us hope, the essential ingredient for the abundant life that Jesus wants for us.
